The acupuncturist predicted on the 7th that I would go into labor that night or the next day. But there wasn't really anything until the evening of the 8th so I was discouraged. I told The Husband to go ahead to work in the afternoon.

Maybe I'm silly, but it really never occurred to me that I would go overdue with this pregnancy. Not in any kind of meaningful, emotional way, at least. I was so afraid of going into labor before my mother got here, that was where all my worst case scenario mindset went ( Read more... )

The good news is that I haven't been having prodromal labor like last time, and I'm further along than I was this time last time. The bad news is that I'm paranoid about going into labor at all, because three times, I've been on the verge of real labor, and then SOMETHING happens and I get scared out of it ( Read more... )

Written Saturday: Pippa is such a funny eater. She generally rejects a meal outright first, requesting something else (usually fruit or cereal). After about five minutes, she'll start eating one part of the meal. I found out that while my extended health benefits through my husband's work only covers $20 per visit for massage, it covers up to $400 per year for acupuncture, so when I went into my baby appointment today I got a referral from my doctor (luckily I was seeing a doctor rather than a midwife today, because the insurance paperwork says "doctor" and ( Read more... )

I'm finding sitting, especially in the evening, for an extended period of time to be very uncomfortable lately. Semi reclining with my feet up is good. But not good for typing.
